Struggling With Urgency?

Ever had the experience of coming home, reaching for your keys, and suddenly feeling a strong urge to rush to the bathroom? You’re not alone! Here are three quick tips to help calm that urgency:

1️⃣Take Several Diaphragmatic Breaths:

Slow, deep breathing can relax your bladder and give you more control. Breathe deeply through your nose, allowing your belly to rise, then exhale slowly.

2️⃣Do Calf Raises:

Distract your brain from the urgency by activating your leg muscles. Stand tall, lift your heels off the ground, and slowly lower them back down. Repeat 10 times.

3️⃣Perform 5 Quick Pelvic Floor Contractions:

Contract your pelvic floor muscles quickly and release. Doing this can signal your bladder to calm down and prevent leakage.

The next time you feel a sudden urge, try these simple techniques to give yourself more time and control! Your bladder will thank you!
