“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.”

Dr. Brita Allyger, DPT

Orthopedic & Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist

A Bit About Me

Your board-certified physical therapist and pelvic pain specialist with over 17 years of field experience. I believe in a patient-centered, holistic approach to healing your body, mind, and soul.

My journey first started when I experienced endometriosis but failed to achieve a proper diagnosis after several years. Since then, I’ve made it a dedication to provide a safe and calming experience as someone who understands what it’s like to be a patient. I graduated from George Mason University with a BS in Psychology and received my doctorate from Marymount University in Physical Therapy.

I believe in a patient-centered, holistic approach to physical therapy.  I specialize in multiple modalities—particularly pelvic pain, endometriosis, bladder and sexual dysfunction, and postpartum care.

As a Northern Virginia native and mother of 4 beautiful children, my passion is to help you achieve your optimal health and well-being. I’m an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, and the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS).
