5 Signs Your Pelvic Floor Isn't Working Properly

Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles at the base of your pelvis. It supports your bladder, bowels, and reproductive organs, helps control urination and bowel movements, and plays a key role in core stability and sexual function. When these muscles are too weak, too tight, or not coordinating well, you may notice:

👉Leaking when you laugh, cough, sneeze, or exercise

👉Pelvic heaviness or pressure (a sign of prolapse)

👉Constipation or incomplete emptying

👉Pain with sex, tampon use, or during pelvic exams

👉Low back, hip, or tailbone pain that just won’t go away

These are common—but not normal. And the good news? You don’t have to live with them. 🙌
